INTRODUCING

CorroVision

CorroVision allows for the transfer of scientific research into real-world maintenance environments, reducing costs and improving response times. CorroVision allows for optimization of manpower by enabling users to implement scientific knowledge whilst re-skilling and up-skilling workers in the process. CorroVision is helping the defense industry by redeploying specialists to other areas and allowing for better planning and decision making at higher levels.

The Story behind CorroVision

CorroVision is a software-based tool that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to utilize and implement more than 35 years of pooled knowledge from Ascent’s corrosion subject matter experts. That’s 35+ years of learning about corrosion, the impacts of corrosion, how to find corrosion, what influences corrosion, and how to optimize maintenance and external influences to reduce the effects of corrosion on weapon systems, allowing that knowledge to be retained, refined, and utilized by your staff.

CorroVision bottles up this expertise and applies it to the many factors influencing corrosion-related impacts on fleet readiness.

As a platform-agnostic software tool using AI and ML to optimize corrosion management, CorroVision automates the analysis process instantaneously. It allows optimization of maintenance schedules, ensuring that aircraft are not over (or under) maintained via optimal maintenance schedules for each aircraft. This reduces unnecessary maintenance and generates manpower efficiencies. CorroVision even predicts how much corrosion each aircraft will experience, and provides component, aircraft, and ‘whole of fleet’ data.

INTRODUCING

AeroATLAS

A first-of-it’s kind, a platform-agnostic weight and balance calculation tool targeted specifically at airborne military application.

AeroATLAS alleviates pilot workload and reduces in-flight risks by ensuring mission readiness of any airborne weapon system through simple interface tools & rapid data delivery.

Why AeroATLAS?

We have been the end user.

Ascent draws from the experience of their team members – veterans, operators, and subject matter experts who have experienced various platform limitations. From the adaption of commercial tools (often failing to account for military time pressures and varying functionality) through to cumbersome spreadsheets and time-consuming paper-based forms – we’ve been there.

These antiquated methods often fail to facilitate accurate data inputs, coupled with the high-pressure setting of the military context leaving operators with nil capacity to perform gross error checking – affecting mission readiness and safety of operations. Adoption of civilian solutions may alleviate some concerns, but they are largely intended for the civilian context; without significant tailoring do not account for the vast array of unique and hazardous weight-changing scenarios encountered within the military setting.

Enter AeroATLAS, an innovative platform purpose-built to explicitly address these challenges.

AeroATLAS is not repackaging existing tools; it alternatively acts as a strategic enabler, offering an operator-focused Human Machine Interface (HMI) for pre-flight planning, in-flight weight management, and real-time decision-making. Beyond routine calculations, AeroATLAS handles complex mission-critical factors like stores or ordnance expenditure, crew movements, lateral imbalance checks, Air-to-Air Refueling, fuel pump failure analysis, and cargo/paratrooper drop considerations. AeroATLAS exemplifies commitment to safety, compliance, and best practices, adhering to a “universal design basis” that encapsulates regulatory requirements and best practices from multiple National and Military Airworthiness Authorities, including the likes of EASA, EMAR, FAA, NAVAIR, CAA, and DASA.

Coupled with a modular, configuration-driven software architecture, AeroATLAS is readily adaptable for any aviation weapon system, making it a versatile “plug and play” solution irrespective of an aircraft’s operational complexity or regulatory landscape.
